Theatre winning over its critics

KEY groups in Maryport have had their first chance to see inside The Wave centre.

The building still has no furniture but its controversial theatre, a replacement for the town’s Civic Hall, is already winning over many of its detractors.

The Wave will be opened in July, and more photos and plans for the visitor centre and exhibition space will be revealed in next week’s Times & Star.
